Formed in early 2010, WHITEHOUSE EFFECT is made up of 4 of the most talented, high energy musicians the Greater Baltimore Area has to offer. This band formed with one mission: to deliver an over-the-top, polished and entertaining rock show that will leave you begging for more! WHITEHOUSE EFFECT is constantly evolving and changing - always bringing something new to the table. Whether the band is swapping instruments, tearing up the dance floor with the fans, or just raising a toast to your best friend's birthday, WE are there to make the night awesome. With hundreds of songs in their repertoire, WHITEHOUSE EFFECT offers what no other band in the area does: EVERYTHING! Rock, Pop, Country, Hip Hop, Motown - You name it, WHITEHOUSE EFFECT does it!

Bobby Dawson Contact Bobby:

Lead Singer

Bobby has always had music as a part of his life. After learning piano at 8, he moved on to trumpet, followed by drums, and then guitar, and sometimes, if you listen closely, you can hear a tambourine shaking. As owner of his own DJ/Karaoke Company, Dawson Entertainment Services, he has also been playing tunes and keeping the world singing and dancing for over 7 years. Bobby has spent many years on the Baltimore local music scene as well, with bands such as Animocity and Mother Nature's Recipe. Taking over in early 2014, he has fallen comfortably into his role as the front man of Whitehouse Effect.

Bobby is heavily influenced by multiple genres and styles of music. From pop to rock, metal to country, a great song is a great song to Bobby. He is most influenced by singers such as Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, Brent Smith of Shinedown, Freddie Mercury, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban and Sam Smith. In his free time, Bobby can be found playing sports, working on his house, and taking on any hobby possible. Stay tuned, because you never know what this guy is going to do next!

David Ruiz Contact David:

Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals

David has been playing guitar for over 23 years. After beginning with Spanish guitar, he soon found his love for electric. He has performed live since high school, and has played with a variety of bands throughout high school and college. After college, David went on a 2010 national tour with Oldhouse Band in Ecuador. After moving back to the US, he joined local band Outbreak in 2011. As the newest member of Whitehouse Effect, David can do it all, and we are extremely excited to have his axe on our side.

In terms of gear, David most enjoys using his '57 RE Strat, Custom Tele Paisley, Gibson LP Std, Gibson CS ES-339 and Richie Kotzen Sig. Tele. He lets those babies sing through his FUCHS ODS '81 Marshall JMP amp. Don't miss this man in action on a stage near you!

Brian Gulin Contact Brian:

Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals

Brian has always been a lover of music, even from an early age. Whether it was elementary school band or high school band and orchestra, he has always been a performer. At the ripe age of 17, Brian picked up his first bass and he has never looked back. Whether he is keeping the groove or slapping a delicious bass solo, he is always ready to put on the show and keep the crowd moving.

Brian was born and raised in Baltimore, and loves performing in his hometown. Not only is Brian a fantastic musician, but also has his hands on the production side. His sound company constantly comes through to provide sound and lights for Whitehouse Effect, along with many other local bands. Brian is most strongly influenced by anything from classic rock bands, such as Rush and Yes, to more current rock bands like The Foo Fighters and Avenged Sevenfold. Stop on out and let this man's bass grooves keep you moving!

Jon Ardissone Contact Jon:


Jon started playing drums at the age of 10. While in high school, he played for two seasons on the Baltimore Marching Ravens drumline. In college, he majored in Music Theory and Performance. He's an accomplished songwriter and audio engineer who has played in various bands on the Baltimore scene for the last 10 years. He's been Whitehouse Effect's drummer for the last 2 years, and enjoys every minute of it. His musical influences range from Big Band and jazz to alternative rock and mainstream metal. His drumming style is most heavily influenced by Metallica's Lars Ulrich.

Jon also sings, and has been playing guitar since he was 13 years old. If you're lucky, you might see him step out from behind the drums once in a while to exercise his vocal chords. In his free time, he enjoys flying airplanes and breaking cymbals.
